Mad deer disease may spread with saliva - Yahoo! News

Mad deer disease may spread with saliva - Yahoo! News: "Deer probably spread a brain-destroying illness called chronic wasting disease through their saliva, concludes a study that finally pins down a long-suspected culprit."

Note to Brother Jeff: Don't kiss them.

clevescene.com | Music | Still Blazing

clevescene.com | Music | Still Blazing: "The Balls of Fire formed in 1981, when the Stray Cats and Dave Edmunds were lighting up the charts. Playing the old Pirate's Cove and the Phantasy in its heyday, various incarnations of the group have included Lucky Pierre drummer Dave Zima, Baloney Heads drummer Wally Gunn, and Choir guitarist Randy Klawon on bass. Current bassist George [Hanrahan](ex-Ice Cubes) and keyboard-sax player Rod Mapes (ex-Insanity) have been with the band since 1993."

The Scene's D. X. Ferris writing about Brother George's other band, The Balls of Fire.

The 25th anniversary show at the Beachland was more fun than a real fun thing, and a perfect showcase for the band's brand of swaggering, staggering, rootsy rock and roll.

EBros on MySpace

Thanks to some sort of server seizure, I can't edit our profile or upload another song. But the EBros are officially on MySpace, so it's only a matter of time before the hot babes find us.

Note to Brother Jeff: MySpace has very clear rules on nudity, so I couldn't use your pants-off photos.

Beachland Ballroom -- Live Music in Cleveland

Beachland Ballroom -- Live Music in Cleveland: "Dave Swanson (ex-GBV, New Salem Witch Hunters, and much much more) and his pals (all of whom have probably been in a band with you) heat up power pop til it almost explodes with sonic flavor!"

Dave is my cousin, and a way cool dude. Ask me about the time I drove him to an Elton John concert at the Richfield Coliseum (he was about 13) in his dad's Lincoln Battlestar. Great show, except for the part where I tripped on my platform shoes and slid down the Coliseum's steep concrete steps on my shins, ruining a perfectly good pair of doubleknit bellbottoms.

The Elderly Brothers spent a great August weekend in Jefferson, Ohio, jamming with long-time buddy Ed Obbish and his almost-a college-grad son, Eddie. Big fun! Sorry, can't identify the maraca player.
